Westview Christian Fellowship
Established in 1988, Westview is an inclusive learning community with an Anabaptist heritage and a member of the Mennonite Church of Eastern Canada where participation comes before perfection. We are located in the neighbourhood of Queenston, this geography plays a central role in defining who we are. It is primarily in this neighbourhood that we discover and share that which we have been given. As a group, we are committed to being a contributing member of the Queenston Neighbourhood in St. Catharines, Ontario.
Together we aim to develop a sensitivity to the call of love, peace, justice, reconciliation, hope, beauty, and in these, God. Assisted by dialogue and learning, we hope to orientate our lives to the “Good News” found in Christ’s life and teachings.
Through participation, community, repetition and study, Sunday gathering times are devoted to learning and practising the principles listed above. Church services are held every Sunday starting at 10:15 am and usually end around noon. The second last Sunday of the month we host a potluck service, while the last Sunday of the month is an outdoor service (Forest Church). We have a very casual atmosphere that includes singing, a coffee break and a time for sharing and discussion. A nursery is available for parents and their children, though people of all ages are welcome in the service.
🏳️🌈 Clarity Statement:
At Westview Christian Fellowship we affirm and celebrate everyone, including individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations.
Our leadership and hiring selection aims to reflect the beautiful diversity of our community. To this end, we do not discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity nor do these identity markers affect one’s ability to participate fully in our communal practices such as communion, marriage or baptism.
The only exception to this rule exists at Westview Centre4Women. Due to our commitment to creating a safe place for all who identify as women, staff reserve the right to deny those of a male gender expression access to the Centre’s services.

Westview Centre4Women
During the week Westview is a community hub for women in the Queenston Neighbourhood. At Westview Centre4Women (previously called ‘Women4Women’ and ‘Survival4Women’) you’ll find the same guiding principles in practice as women from all walks of life are offered a safe place that encourages respect and dignity for self and others. As on Sunday mornings, during the week at the Westview Centre4Women, participation is more important than perfection as we learn together as a community.
Westview Centre4Women (WC4W) runs every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10-4 pm all year. Each morning we offer coffee and snacks, clothing, haircuts and a hot lunch. In the afternoon we have programs and workshops offering: cooking and canning, gardening, self-image classes, sewing and craft classes, pre-employment skills, guest speakers and friendship building. We also offer access to the Plentiful Pantry where women are able to access food and household items in small portions at cost, free long-distance phone calls, computers, nails and esthetics, and daycare. We also have special events throughout the year such as bingo nights, fall retreat, fundraisers, Christmas dinner and much more.
